The Phoenix Mercenaries
Nanotardz
are currently at war with Ivy League.
Ivy League does a lot of good for the Eve community.
If anyone wants to defend the conduct of the two groups currently at war with them go ahead.
The Phoenix Mercenaries I have some experience with and they would be better off joining Ivy League rather than fighting them.
Nanotardz I have no idea about, but the name prolly says it all.

As for the wardec, I do hope you get stomped out of existence in Eve, aferall as people point out, Eve is not a nice place.

you imagined it was a big pool of noobs to gank all day long.
found it was not going to be quite that easy and now docked up for long periods waiting for a single noob to show his face so you can kill him.
You corp is about the lowest form of life in Eve.
I dont expect you to understand.

A handy hint, read the thread, it will stop you looking quite so silly next time.
They should retract the war because it seems they did not realise the implications of what they were doing.
Firstly disrupting the useful function of Ivy League and the recruitment process because of continual wardecs.
An Eve institution that does a lot of good for the community and is much loved by a cross section of the community with a clue.
Secondly they are getting owned by these noobs they imagined would be easy ganks. Something most of the eve community with a clue already new was going to happen.
I hope that has helped you understand a small part of it.

As to why the wardecs.
I am not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but quite often it is about recruitment.
This is multi threaded.
1. "we attack big alliances arent we uber"
(just please dont check which)
2. "look how good our killboard is"
(well we thought it would be)
3. its a quick way to gain publicity (threads like this).
However lame it is, there will be someone in the eve community that thinks it is a good idea.
Birds of a feather flock together.
Ivy League is always going to be attacked.
More often than not I suspect it will be from relatively new corps looking to "make their bones".
Much rarer will be wardecs from serious minded corps or alliances.
These things are not going to go away, there is probably a never ending stream of the sort of corps that wish to wardec you.
Now here is a plan.
Eve Uni is an educational concern and PVP is part of that.
Split the alliance, create a "blue" team and a "red" team, perma wardec each other. Maybe split it into multiple groups and all perma mutual wardec each other.
As an alliance you will now have "tame" wardecs for your members to practice with and get used too.
Who needs outsiders to wardec you?

Nanotardz, you have some sort of mental block over this issue and it does not look like you quite understand what has happened here.
Ivy League came on here to try and reduce the wardecs they are suffering currently so they can better do the good work they do.
They did not name and shame you, other members of the community did that.
The other corp wardeccing them just ended the wardec were gracious and made no more about it.
It is VERY clear Ivy League was something you considered a soft target and were looking to ransom them (and still appear keen to try to do so).
Some posts talk about you wanting to have fun in the game and wardeccing IVY League is fun for you.
Now go the next step, flaming Nanotardz is a lot of fun for people on this forum.
Other corps are looking forward to wardeccing Nanotardz this is how they are going to get their fun in game.
You see how fun in game works both ways.
As I mentioned earlier, fun for some people often is not fun for others. So welcome to the other side of the coin.
Remember though its all a game and we all have fun in different ways.

Nanotardz your idea of fun is not shared by others in the community.
Your desire to extort ISK from a corp which tries to teach noob pilots the game has failed.
You have discovered there are people that dont share your idea of what fun is and infact have ideas of their own as to what fun constitutes.
You have discovered their idea of fun makes you sad.
The way out of this was to drop the wardecc.
There have been plenty of people in this thread that have told you that.
You choose to smear everyone's motivations when really they are actually trying to help you.
Phoenix Mercenaries stepped from this wreckage smelling of roses.
Eve Uni is going to stomp on you, others in the community are lining up to do so.
Why has Eve Uni got such support from the community?
Coz a lot of the pilots that are now in these big alliances started their lives in Eve Uni, found it fun and useful and want them to continue the good work.
You started it the wardec, only you can end it.
Stop looking for sympathy this is not going to happen.
now learn your lessons and move on.
Stop the wardec, stop the idiot demands.
